Η 8η Μαρτίου, Παγκόσμια Ημέρα της Γυναίκας, φέρει στο νου μια μακρά ιστορία αγώνων και διεκδικήσεων.

Ξεκινώντας από την ιστορική διαμαρτυρία των εργατριών το 1857, η μέρα αυτή εξελίχθηκε σε σύμβολο της γυναικείας ενδυνάμωσης και ισότητας. Παρότι η εορτή υιοθετήθηκε αρχικά από το σοσιαλιστικό κίνημα, η φεμινιστική αναζωπύρωση της δεκαετίας του ’60 της έδωσε νέα πνοή. Σήμερα, τελεί υπό την αιγίδα του ΟΗΕ, θέτοντας στο επίκεντρο τα γυναικεία προβλήματα και δικαιώματα.
Κάθε χρόνο, γυναίκες σε όλο τον κόσμο διαδηλώνουν για να υψώσουν τη φωνή τους, να διεκδικήσουν ίσα δικαιώματα και να γιορτάσουν τις νίκες του κινήματος. Ωστόσο, οι απόψεις για τη γυναικεία φύση και θέση στην κοινωνία ποικίλλουν, με κάποιες να διχάζουν.
Η γυναίκα, με τα άπειρα πρόσωπα και τις αμέτρητες αρετές, αποτελεί αναπόσπαστο κομμάτι της ζωής μας. Μητέρα, κόρη, αδελφή, σύντροφος, σύζυγος, κάθε ρόλος φέρει το δικό του ξεχωριστό φορτίο συναισθημάτων.
Αφοσίωση, φροντίδα, θέρμη, δυναμισμός, θέληση, όλα συνθέτουν την πολυδιάστατη ύπαρξή της.
Για να τιμήσουμε, λοιπόν, τη γυναικεία οντότητα στην Παγκόσμια Ημέρα της Γυναίκας, ας χαθούμε στις μελωδίες και τους στίχους 10 ελληνικών τραγουδιών αφιερωμένων σε αυτήν.
