We have known pretty well so far that Plàsi has the power to influence just with his voice and his guitar. This minimalist recipe was proved quite successful with his first EP ‘Now & Then’, but also with his critically acclaimed debut album, entitled ‘People’. The Greek-Swedish singer-songwriter has written all of his songs and lyrics, playing also the guitar at the same time. Having the complete agency of his career, Mikael uses both his greek roots and his music education to create stories. These stories come mostly from his personal life, combining simultaneously social messages about immigration, crisis etc. His folk sound has become his identity, with which he ‘decorates’ his… narrations.
Moving to the new chapter of his music career, Plàsi releases a new song, called ‘Mystery’. He wrote it by the shore of the North Sea, “and after many hours in the studio with the two producer brothers Linus Hasselberg and Hannes Hasselberg something new was created” Mikael wrote on his Facebook post.
‘Mystery’ is the title track of his upcoming EP that will be released this fall through Nettwerk Music Group. The song is a great example of his introvert, folk music based on vocals and guitar. It is a minimalist way to shout without being loud and to express yourself just by whispering.
‘Mystery’ was mixed by Canadian Tyler Neil Johnson and the artwork was made by Plàsi’s friend and artist Olof Grind.
