To «House of Dragon» έρχεται για να πει την ιστορία των Targeryen 300 χρόνια πριν τα γεγονότα του «Game of Thrones»
Η παραγωγή του «House of Dragon» ξεκίνησε κι επίσημα όπως επιβεβαίωσε το HBO μέσω twitter. Πρόκειται για το πρώτο επίσημο prequel της πετυχημένης σειράς του HBO «Game of Thrones», το οποίο βασίζεται στο βιβλίο «Fire and Blood» του George R, Martin και θα εκτυλίσσεται 300 χρόνια πριν τα γεγονότα της σειράς, στην πρώιμη εποχή του Westeros. Η υπόθεση θα επικεντρώνεται στο χρονικό της ανόδου και πτώσης της δυναστείας των Targeryen την εποχή της κυριαρχίας τους.
Στο καστ έχει ανακοινωθεί ο Paddy Constantine στο ρόλο του King Viserys, ο οποίος επιλέχθηκε από τους άρχοντες του Westeros για να διαδεχθεί τον παλιό βασιλιά, Jaehaerys Targaryen, για να συνεχίσει την κληρονομιά του παππού του. Μαζί του πρωταγωνιστούν επίσης η Eve Best στο ρόλο της Πριγκίπισσας Rhaenys Velaryon, η Olivia Cooke ως Alicent Hightower, ο Rhys Ifans ως Otto Hightower, ο Matt Smith ως Daemon Targaryen, ο Steve Toussaint στο ρόλο του Corlys Velaryon και τέλος, η Emma D’Arcy ως Rhaenyra Targaryen. Δημιουργοί της σειράς είναι οι Ryan J. Condal και George R.R. Martin.
Η παραγωγή του «House of Dragon» ξεκίνησε την Δευτέρα και το HBO δημοσιοποίησε τα νέα μαζί με μια σειρά φωτογραφιών η οποία παρουσιάζει τους πρωταγωνιστές να διαβάζουν το σενάριο.
Το «House of Dragon» αναμένεται να κυκλοφορήσει μέσα στο 2022 από το HBO.
